These terms govern your use of the Simple Living Wills service. By engaging our guidance, you agree to the conditions below. We keep the language plain because legal documents should not be harder to read than the choices they describe.
Simple Living Wills provides orientation and preparation of advance directives adapted to Portuguese legislation. We help you document treatment preferences, palliative care choices, and the appointment of a healthcare proxy. Our role is to guide and structure your decisions; we do not replace legal counsel for complex estates or contested family situations. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the personal information you provide and for confirming that your document reflects your current wishes.
We exercise care in preparing documents that follow the applicable legal framework, but we cannot guarantee how a specific institution or medical team will interpret your directive. Healthcare providers make final decisions based on clinical circumstances and their own legal obligations. To the extent permitted by law, Simple Living Wills is not liable for outcomes arising from a provider's interpretation of your document or from changes in legislation after your directive is registered.
You may stop using the service at any time. If you revoke an advance directive, you should do so in writing and, where applicable, through the official registry. We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law or our practice. When we do, we will note the revision date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
